After his impressive outing at the continental event, Naruka will be one of India’s biggest hopes at the Shotgun qualifiers as he will look to secure a quota in the skeet event. He narrowly missed out on the Paris 2024 quota as he finished fourth in the Asian Shooting Championship 2023.
India at the Shooting Asian Olympic Qualifiers 2024 Shotgun
The Asian Olympic Qualifiers 2024 Shotgun will have eight Paris Olympics 2024 quota places up for grabs. So far, India has secured a total of two quotas in shotgun events, both in trap disciplines. Hence, the shooters will have their eyes set on the remaining six quotas – two in trap and four in skeet events.
Ganemat Sekhon, the silver medalist of the ISSF World Cup 2023 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and Raiza Dhillon who won the women’s national selection trials are among the few athletes to watch out for in the women’s skeet event. Meanwhile, former men’s trap world champion Manavjit Singh will mark his return to the international arena at the Asian Olympic Qualifiers Shotgun 2024.
