Indian Sports Calendar in 2023: Events to watch in third week of November

Top Indian shuttlers will be back in action this week.

A lot of sporting events are lined up in the upcoming week of the Indian sports calendar. HS Prannoy and Lakshya Sen will be back in action with the Japan Masters after a small injury break. Rohit Sharma-led Indian men's cricket team are on track to lift the ICC Men's ODI World Cup. Indian men's football team will also be back in action in the round 2 for FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers.

Here we take a look at the events to follow in the upcoming week (November 13-19) in the Indian sports calendar.

Badminton

After a week's break, top Indian badminton stars will be back in action for BWF Japan Masters (BWF 500). HS Prannoy will be back in action post his Asian Games bronze medal run. Satwik-Chirag alongside Lakshya Sen will look to regain form ahead of BWF World Tour Finals.

Cricket

The Indian cricket team head into the ODI World Cup semifinals on the back of nine straight wins. They are scheduled to take on the New Zealand in the semifinals.

Football

Indian men's football team will start round 2 of 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Kuwait. Top 36 ranked Asian sides are clubbed inside nine groups with each consisting of four teams. Top 18 teams from the current round progress to round 3.

Tennis

The season ending tennis tournament - ATP Finals 2023 is scheduled to start on November 12 in Turin. Rohan Bopanna will be the lone Indian competing in the prestigious tournament and is paired alongside Australia's Matthew Ebden.

Rugby Sevens

The Rugby Sevens men’s and women’s qualifiers for Paris 2024 Olympics will now be held at the Yodoko Sakura Stadium in Osaka, Japan.
