India's ICC WTC 2023-25 calendar after end of South Africa test series

India will be playing five-match home test series against England in their next assignment.

Team India have climbed to the top of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 points table after a big win against South Africa at Newlands Stadium in Cape Town. India with 26 overall points and 54.16 PCT points have secured the top spot in the points table. India suffered a major setback in Centurion and missed the chance to win their first-ever test series in South Africa. India lost the first test match by an innings and 32 runs.

Now India’s ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 caravan will move back home for a five-match test series against England. India have four more series left to play in the ongoing cycle. They have played two consecutive finals in the big ICC event, but failed to win a title on both the occasions. New Zealand defeated India in WTC final 2021 and last year Australia thrashed India by a huge margin in the WTC final 2023.

India’s remaining fixtures in ICC WTC 2023-25

Team India are scheduled to play 19 test matches in the ongoing WTC Cycle. India have already finished four test matches and are now left with 15 more games. India will resume their World Test Championship cycle with a five-match test series against England starting on 25th January. This series will go on till the first two weeks of March 2024. After this, India will be playing a two match test series against Bangladesh at home in October.

India’s remaining fixture in the WTC 2023-25

India vs England (Home) (January-March 2024) – 5 Tests

India vs Bangladesh (Home) (September-October 2024) – 2 Tests

India vs New Zealand (Home) (October-November 2024) – 3 Tests

India vs Australia (Away) (November 2024-January 2025) – 5 Tests

India will also host New Zealand at home in October and November this year for a three-match test series. After this series, India will be travelling to Australia to play Border-Gavaskar Trophy. This will be a five-match test series to conclude India’s ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 campaign. India will be aiming at the top two spots with a few big challenges ahead for them.

India began their campaign against West Indies with a two-match test series in July 2023. India won the series by a 1-0 margin as India lost crucial 8 points in the second test, which ended in a draw. India played two-match test series against South Africa and ended the series with a scoreline of 1-1. ICC World Test Championship final 2025 will be played at the Lord’s, London in June 2025.
