Will Roman Reigns appear on WWE SmackDown New Year’s Revolution?

The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has been doing a part-time role since the beginning of the year and shows up very rarely on television. Reigns took a long hiatus after SummerSlam and returned to have a match with LA Knight at Crown Jewel. Reigns again went through a hiatus and came back a month after on the December 15, 2023 episode of SmackDown live show and December 22, 2023 SmackDown tapings.

Reigns had three opponents (Randy Orton, LA Knight & AJ Styles) waiting for his arrival, who will be having a triple threat match this week to face Roman Reigns at Royal Rumble. Ahead of that, Roman Reigns’ status for SmackDown this week. 

Roman Reigns status for SmackDown New Year’s Revolution

Roman Reigns is scheduled to appear on New Year’s Resolution Special edition of Friday Night SmackDown on January 5th 2024 at Vancouver, British Columbia. It seems like The Tribal Chief is interested in the Triple Threat Match to identify his opponent at Royal Rumble. As per speculations, Reigns will confront the winner of the Triple Threat match during the final moments of the show.

After this Friday’s appearance, Reigns will be away from television for a week and will be back on the January 19, 2024 episode of SmackDown at Atlanta, Georgia. It could possibly be for the contract signing for the match at Royal Rumble.

Most of the fans wonder if Roman Reigns on SmackDown will address The Rock’s return and “Head of the Table” tease or not. Reigns reacted to The Rock’s statement with a laughing emoji on X.
