Oba Femi is one of the young, strong and powerful professional wrestlers who is signed to NXT. The 6 foot 4 Nigerian star has been impressive since the first day of his pro-wrestling career in WWE. He was signed as a part of the next in line program in 2021. In December 2023, Femi was announced to be one of the eight rookie wrestlers to participate in the 2023 NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament and outpowered every opponent that stepped foot against him and won the tournament.
As a result of his win, he was awarded with the Breakout Tournament Contract, which he can cash-in anytime, anywhere for the championship title. Oba Femi cashed the contract right away next week against Dragon Lee and became the NXT North American Champion for the very first time.
This is the first time ever Oba Femi is winning a pro-wrestling championship and with that he became the youngest to win the NXT North American title at the age of 22, by beating Velveteen Dreams, who won it at the age of 23. Oba Femi seems to be promising already with only a few matches, where he proved his caliber. Here we take a look on why Oba Femi could be the next biggest star in WWE?

WWE has been looking to build a strong future for the company with some of the promising young talents. With that in mind the company has been signing some extreme talents for a long time. The 22 year old could be a perfect match for the company’s existing plans as he could play a vital role for the next 20 years.

WWE Officials are not so easy to impress, especially someone like “The Heart-Break Kid” Shawn Michaels. It seems like he had impressed the NXT commissioner in one way or another, for which he had given him the push right away to become the NXT North American Champion, by defeating one of the best Dragon Lee, who the legends consider as the future of the company and Lucha Libre.
Mighty and Strong
The Young Nigerian is mighty and strong, with that he had manhandled almost all the superstars he stepped foot in. WWE is a place of mighty wrestlers, where a number of mighty wrestlers have emerged. However in recent times there are only limited big wrestlers in the company. He might fit the vacant spot perfectly with his high stands and mighty look that could make his opponent fear to step foot in the ring with him.
