Goals were witnessed in every game played till now in Kalinga Super Cup 2024.

The 2024 Kalinga Super has seen some compelling matches since its commencement on January 9th. As of now, four matches have been played, with teams from Group A and B participating in their inaugural matches.

In the coming days, significant fixtures are scheduled to take place, pitting the top teams against each other in pursuit of the championship title. It is noteworthy that every match in the tournament thus far has produced goals, underscoring the high level of competition and skill of the players involved.

In this article we will take a look at the points table of all the Groups in the 2023 Kalinga Super Cup.

Group A 

The first match of Group A featured East Bengal FC and Hyderabad FC, with East Bengal emerging victorious with a 3-2 score. In the second match, Mohun Bagan competed against Sreenidi Deccan, emerging victorious with a 2-1 score-line.

After the first two matches, East Bengal is currently positioned at the top of the table, followed by Mohun Bagan. It is the total goals scored in the matches that have placed East Bengal slightly ahead of arch-rivals Mohun Bagan. Hyderabad FC and Sreenidi Deccan are situated in the third and fourth positions respectively.

Group B 

The first match of Group B featured Kerala Blasters and Shillong Lajong FC, with Kerala Blasters emerging as victorious with a 3-1 score. In the second match, Jamshedpur FC prevailed over NorthEast United FC with a thrilling 2-1 victory at the Kalinga Stadium.

After the first two matches, Kerala Blasters are currently leading the points table, with Jamshedpur FC close behind in the second position. Kerala Blasters’ slight advantage over Jamshedpur FC is attributed to their goal difference. NorthEast United FC and Shillong Lajong hold the third and fourth positions, respectively.

Group C

The Group C matches have not yet been played. The upcoming fixtures are as follows: Mumbai City FC will be facing Gokulam Kerala in the first match, followed by Chennaiyin FC playing against Punjab FC on the 11th of January.

Group D

Group D’s matches are scheduled for the 12th of January. The initial match will feature FC Goa and Inter Kashi, followed by the match between Odisha FC and Bengaluru FC.
