Rey Mysterio wants two-time UFC Champion in WWE
WWE has witnessed some of the great stars of other professions joining WWE and wrestling inside the squared circle especially from amateur wrestling, boxing, mixed martial arts and so on. Joining WWE after a mixed martial arts career has become so common at present and they were highly successful in wrestling too. Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey, Matt Riddle, Shayna Baszler are some of the successful wrestlers from the MMA background. However, Rey Mysterio opened up about his wish to bring a Mexican Mixed Martial to WWE following his current UFC run.
Rey Mysterio wants Brendon Moreno in WWE
Rey Mysterio recently was interviewed with ESPN’s Marc Raimondi at MMA Hour, where he spoke about a variety of topics. During the interview, Mysterio noted that prior to AAA appearance, Mysterio and Moreno had a talk, where Rey offered him to teach some of the rope skills in exchange for teaching him MMA. Although they talked as a joke, he believed that Moreno wil step inside the WWE ring following his MMA career in UFC.
“I saw a little bit of the footage on social media (of Brandon Moreno at AAA Triplemanía XXXI) and so, we had the podcast maybe a month before that happened and I was trying to convince him, ‘Bro, show me a little bit of MMA and I’ll teach you some of the ropes. Let’s get in the ring.’”
“He goes, ‘Ah! I would love to.’ So, we were kind of joking it out but I believe he does have a passion for wrestling, for lucha, you know, so I would love to interact with him more in the future and hope that maybe one day he decides to step in a WWE ring.”
If you didn’t know, Brandon Moreno is a Mexican Mixed Martial Artist, who currently fights in UFC under the Flyweight division. He is a former two-time UFC Flyweight Champion, where he currently ranks in the top spot.
