TVS announce partnership with Cambodian Premier League side Angkor Tiger Football Club

TVS Motor Company (TVSM), a leading global automaker in the two and three-wheeler segments, will partner with the Cambodian Premier League team – Angkor Tiger Football Club – from the city of Siem Reap, globally famous for the UNESCO World Heritage site marvel Angkor Wat temple.

Angkor Tiger Football Club currently plays in the top division Cambodian Premier League from the city of Siem Reap.  Angkor Tiger Football Club plays their matches at the Hanuman Stadium and has started construction of their own football stadium with a capacity for 5,000 spectators on a land holding of 50,000 square meters.

Angkor Tiger FC is the only team from the northern region of the country and plays all their home games at the Hanuman Stadium in Siem Reap. During 2022-23 season, they recorded the highest home ground attendance for a team in the Cambodian Premier League. They aim to move to their new own stadium by January 2025.

The Club is focused on developing young talents from the region and has promoted more than 8 players from their Academy to the Senior Team over the last 4 years. With technical partnerships with Japanese League 2 clubs, many young Cambodian talents are also sent to Japan for regular training and match time opportunities.

The 2024-25 season of the Cambodian Premier League is expected to start in August 2024.

Angkor Tiger is co-owned by Japanese entrepreneur Mr. Akihiro Kato and India based SkaSports Investments Pvt Ltd.
