Netherlands are defending champions
The Women’s FIH Pro League 2023-24 season: poised to recommence on February 3, 2024, with the match between the United States and the Netherlands.
The League began on December 6, 2023, and will witness the participation of nine nations. The current standings in the points table indicate that the Netherlands have 12 points from four matches, followed by Argentina with five points, and Great Britain with only one point. The remaining six teams have yet to play their first match. The inaugural match was played between Argentina and Great Britain.
The Women’s FIH Pro League’s Indian leg will be held from February 3 to 18 in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela of Odisha. The tournament has also been scheduled in Santiago, Antwerp, London, Utrecht, and Amsterdam.

The Netherlands are also the defending champions of the league who won the 2022-23 edition by defeating Argentina in the final.
What is the tournament format?
The tournament is segmented into date blocks following the home and away principle; to facilitate competition planning at both international and national levels, multiple teams convene at a single venue to participate in “mini-tournaments”, where each team plays two matches against the other.
If one of the two scheduled matches between two teams is canceled, the victorious team in the other match will be awarded double the points. Moreover, the champion of this season will qualify directly for the 2026 Women’s FIH Hockey World Cup.
