List of events where India swept podium at Asian Para Games 2023

On the backdrop of record breaking Asian Games, India continued to their impressive run in the Asian Para Games 2023 with numerous podium finishes. After a week of thrilling performances, India finished in the top 5 of medals tally by securing 111 medals - the most in the history of the quadrennial extravaganza.
While there are many exceptional dominating performances, the world witnessed India winning all three medals in five events. Here are those events where India swept the podium at Asian Para Games 2023
Men's F-51 Club Throw
With a best attempt of 30.01 meters, Pranav Soorma clinched gold for India in men's club throw. Dharambir placed second with a 28.76m attempt that was made on his second try. Amit Kumar, with a 26.93-meter try, had to settle for a bronze medal and completed the podium sweep.
Men's F54/55/56 Discus Throw
India registered a podium sweep in the Men's Discus Throw - F54/55/56 event as Neeraj Yadav took the pole position with a personal best performance of 38.56m which fetched him 1014 points as per Raza scaling system. Tokyo Paralympic Games medalist Yogesh Kathuniya bagged silver while Muthuraja completed the podium and bronze medal with a 35.16m throw.
Men's F-46 Javelin Throw
Sundar Singh Gurjar surpassed Sri Lanka's Dinesh Priyantha's previous world record of 67.79 meters with a throw of 68.60 meters to take the yellow metal. Although Rinku and Ajeet Singh also broke the record, they could only throw 67.08 meters and 63.52 meters to win silver and bronze medal respectively.
Men's VI-B1 Individual Rapid Chess
Darpan Inani, Ashwinbhai Makwana, and Soundharya Pradhan increased Team India's total medal tally by bagging all three medals in Men's Individual Rapid Chess VI-B1 event. This helped India consolidate their top-5 position in the medals tally.
In the individual section Darpan Inani clinched one more medal to end his campaign by winning two medals.
Men's F-64 Discus Throw
In the Men's Discuss Throw F-64 event, only three athletes participated and thankfully for India all three were representing the tricolour. Devender Kumar won the gold with a 49.72m throw. Pardeep and Sourav took silver and bronze medals respectively with throws of 46.41 and 43.75m.
