India achieved a significant milestone at the Asian Games 2023, securing a total of 86 medals, including three gold, one silver, and one bronze. Notably, the Indian compound archers made a mark with the men's team winning their second Asian Games title, while the women's team secured their first.

The Indian men's kabaddi team secured a medal and a semi-final spot by defeating Chinese Taipei and Japan. In contrast, the Indian women's hockey team faced a 0-4 defeat against China in the semi-finals, failing to secure an Olympic quota.

Meanwhile, the Indian chess teams were in a silver medal position with two rounds remaining. The day also featured events in athletics, archery, canoeing, jiu-jitsu, sepak takraw, roller skating, soft tennis, sports climbing, and wrestling.
