Clash at the Castle 2024 must witness new champions.

WWE’s next premium live event, Clash at the Castle 2024, is just two days away. The global juggernaut is set to host another international spectacle, this time in Glasgow, Scotland. This marks the second-ever Clash at the Castle event, and the first to take place in Scotland, following the inaugural edition in Cardiff, Wales, in 2022.

With five matches confirmed for the show, this year’s event promises to be an unforgettable night. Here are the top superstars who must win their bouts at WWE Clash at the Castle 2024.

3. Cody Rhodes must retain against AJ Styles

Cody Rhodes vs AJ Styles is likely the most important bout WWE will provide at Clash at the Castle. When two of the world’s top in-ring performers face off in Glasgow, the Undisputed WWE Title will be at stake. The personal nature of their animosity has resulted in a highly anticipated “I Quit” battle on June 15th.

The animosity erupted suddenly a few weeks ago when AJ Styles pretended to retire from the ring before savagely attacking The American Nightmare. This treachery has set the setting for a heated and violent confrontation.

Cody Rhodes, who has had a tremendous journey since returning to WWE, must keep his championship. With The Rock’s likely comeback on the horizon, removing Rhodes from the WWE monarchy now would be disastrous. His rule is critical to existing storylines and upcoming blockbuster matches.

2. Drew McIntyre must win against Damian Priest

The main event will pit Drew McIntyre against World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest. This battle is widely anticipated, especially since Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase on McIntyre at WrestleMania XL, thereby ending McIntyre’s most recent championship reign in about five minutes.

But this time, things will be different. McIntyre, competing in his own nation, is ready for a victorious comeback. A clean victory over Priest, utilizing the Claymore Kick and overcoming any potential interference from The Judgment Day or CM Punk, would result in a historic moment. McIntyre deserves his moment of glory in front of his home audience, confirming his standing as WWE’s top hero.

1. Chad Gable must win the Intercontinental Championship against Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn has had an incredible run since capturing the Intercontinental Championship by defeating Gunther at WrestleMania. At Clash at the Castle, he will defend his championship against Chad Gable, who has gone through a huge character shift. Gable has gone from being a beloved underdog to a disliked villain, turning heel on Zayn just after WrestleMania.

Gable’s persistent tormenting of his Alpha Academy stablemates, particularly Otis, has earned him one of the most popular heels in WWE. Many fans believe Otis will finally stand up to Gable and help Zayn keep the title, but an unexpected twist might see The Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile turn heel and support Gable in capturing the championship. This outcome would establish Gable as a dominant force, paving the way for future rivalries.
