Host of Talking Smack is set to leave WWE

Kayla Braxton will soon leave WWE, bringing her career with the wrestling organization to a conclusion. Many fans observed that on June 6, Braxton erased WWE from her social media handle, which sparked concern about her current situation. This was apparently not an indication of her departure, but she is indeed on her way out.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that when contacted by WWE and Kayla Braxton, whose actual name is Kayla Becker, she confirmed she was still with the organization, but new information has surfaced. Braxton stated on June 22 that she would depart from WWE next week. She took to Instagram to inform all of her fans and admirers about this significant development in her career.

It was Michael Cole who brought her to WWE, in the post she said, “In 2016, the legendary Michael Cole brought me in to begin my WWE career as a ring announcer with NXT, but I quickly found myself touring the globe, hosting hall of fame ceremonies, kickoff shows and helping launch WWE’s first weekly morning show, “The Bump”. I exited “The Bump” after more than 200 shows and a move to Los Angeles.”

According to reports, Kayla Braxton has been working under a verbal arrangement with WWE since her contract expired recently. Both sides have engaged in discussions, but the outcome remains uncertain. Braxton joined WWE in 2016 and has worked in a variety of positions, including backstage interviewer and kickoff show panelist. She also worked as a ring announcer for WWE NXT before moving to the main roster in 2019.

A potential jump for Kayla Braxton to the rival company is quite possible

Furthermore, AEW has been made aware of Braxton’s contract predicament in recent weeks, however, it is unclear if this was through direct communication from Kayla Braxton or an agency. “We’re told AEW had been made aware of her contract status a couple of weeks ago, but we aren’t sure if that was due to direct communication between Becker/ an agent, or AEW.”

It will be fascinating to see if Tony Khan chooses to hire Kayla Becker, as she would be joining Renee Paquette, whom she mostly replaced in WWE.
