Panama have never won against Colombia.

Colombia have been one of the interesting teams to watch in Copa America 2024. In a group that had Brazil, they managed to as table toppers. The Group D winners will now face another impressive side Panama in the last eight who finished second in their group which had the likes of Uruguay, USA and Bolivia.

As a result of the outcomes so far, Nestor Lorenzo has managed to maintain an outstanding unblemished record, having won 17 and drawn six of his 23 games across all competitions since assuming the head coach position for Colombia in July 2022.

Colombia, ranked 12th in the world by FIFA, have advanced to the Copa America semifinals in two of the previous three competitions and will be confident in their chances of making it to the final four on Saturday, having defeated Panama 3-0 in their previous meeting. Colombia have an overall good record against Panama.

Panama advanced to the knockout phase for the first time in their Copa America history this year after finishing second in Group C with six points, after missing out on the playoffs in their first attempt to compete in the competition in 2016.

After losing their first game 3-1 to Uruguay, who went on to win Group C, Los Canaleros won both of their next games to get maximum points. On Tuesday, they defeated Bolivia 3-1 after overcoming the United States 2-1 in a comeback.
